Under Australian laws, alcoholic beverages can only be sold or supplied to persons aged 18 years of age or over. By using our website and/or placing an order with us you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations recommends that all alcohol should be consumed in moderation and if you want to find out more about the facts of alcohol we suggest you refer to the Drinkwise website.
Shipping & Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
Shipping is a flat rate of $9.00 per case on all orders. A case will either be a 6 bottle case or 12 bottle case (and either type is noted on each product description).
How long does delivery take?
As wines ordered are sent directly to you by each winery we use a network of carriers. The typical shipping period is 4 – 10 business days and will vary depending upon when the order is placed and where it is being delivered to. If your order has not arrived within the typical shipping period, please contact our customer service team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your order details.
What if I am not home to sign for the delivery?
If no person over 18 years of age is available to sign on delivery for your order it will be either:
1. At your local post office waiting for you, or
2. Still in the custody of the courier.
If the order is left at your local post office, a collection advice card will be left at the shipping address. Please take the collection advice card along with your personal identification to your local post office as soon as possible to collect your order.
Usually after 10 days if the order is not collected from the post office it will be sent back to the winery warehouse. However please note that although this is the standard, some courier companies have a shorter waiting period and for this reason we recommend calling the local post office as soon as you receive your collection advice card.
If this happens you are required to pay any additional shipping cost to have your order returned to you.
If your order remains in the custody of the courier, collection advice card will be left at the shipping address instructing you to make contact with the courier to arrange another drop off time. If you do not do this, and the courier returns the order to their despatch centre you will be required to pay any additional shipping cost to have your order returned to you.
Unfortunately, our couriers are generally unable to call you prior to delivering your order.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
The shipping address you entered while checking out will be the same as the shipping address included in your confirmation email. It is your responsibility to provide the correct shipping address. We do not accept responsibility for missing orders if you provided an incorrect shipping address.
If you have provided an incorrect shipping address please contact our customer service team (email@example.com) as soon as possible. If the order has not shipped our customer service team will do their best to correct the shipping address however if the order has already shipped you accept full responsibility for the purchase.
We will not refund an order where the incorrect shipping address was supplied.
Order details & your information
I live overseas, can I order wines from The Confessional?
The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations is only licenced to sell wines in Australia and to deliver wines to addresses located in Australia. Should you wish to have wines delivered overseas you will need to make your own arrangements with a shipping agent (in Australia) and additionally will be responsible for all costs and administration to ship those wines from the shipping agent to your overseas address. Should you wish to do this then we suggest contacting us on firstname.lastname@example.org prior to ordering online.
Refund & Quality Guarantee
The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations exists to provide you with genuine, small batch, high quality, premium boutique wines that (in most cases) have been copiously tasted by our expert tasting panel. In each case, our producers are passionate about their wines and more often than not their wines are a reflection of their own personality as well as the vagaries of seasons, regional characteristics and grape varieties.
In the rare instance that you are not satisfied with a wine purchased through The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations then, if you notify us within 30 days of the purchase date, we will happily refund your purchase (less any associated freight costs). The refund will be on a per unopened bottle basis (plus the value of an opened bottle) once you have returned the unopened bottles to us and will be processed within 7 days of receipt of the unopened stock.
Being a fragile product we understand that from time to time breakages during delivery can happen. If you receive a case of wine with one more broken bottles, simply let us know within two working days of delivery and we will issue with an account credit equal to the price paid by you for the broken bottles.
Changes to items listed on our website
We may withdraw and/or re-offer any item listed for sale on The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations if the item becomes unavailable, is withdrawn by the producer/supplier or was incorrectly described or listed on our website.
The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations' Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we provide the The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations website and services without any express or implied warranty or condition regarding the performance of the website. To the extent permitted by law, all express or implied conditions or warranties in connection with the any goods offered for sale on the website are excluded.
To the full extent permitted by law, neither The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations, its suppliers nor you will be responsible for any losses that were not foreseeable to both parties at the time of entry into these terms and conditions or for any loss of profits, loss of revenue or loss of savings, however caused (including, without limitation, loss arising in contract, negligence or other tort, statute or otherwise).
We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the Services.
Certain legislation, including the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth), may imply warranties or conditions or impose obligations upon The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified or cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extent. These include without limitation terms relating to services being rendered with due care and skill and goods being of merchantable quality or fit for purpose for which they were supplied to you. These terms and conditions must be read subject to these statutory provisions. If these statutory provisions apply, notwithstanding any other provisions in this Agreement and to the extent to which The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations is entitled to do so, The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations limits its liability in respect of any claim under those provisions to:

For the purposes of this section, the term The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations will mean The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations and its officers, employees, contractors and agents, whether individually or collectively.
